Bihar Assembly Election 2025 Live Updates: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Wednesday took a dig at the Opposition alliance, asserting that former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Yadav wants to make his son Tejashwi Yadav the CM, and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the Prime Minister of the country, however, “both posts are not vacant.” Shah, addressing a rally in Darbhanga, said, “Lalu has been involved in fodder, bitumen, land-for-jobs scams, whereas Congress has been accused in corruption cases worth Rs 12 lakh crore.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Wednesday addressed a public rally in Bihar’s Raghunathpur, asserting that allies within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have decided to “thwart return of ‘jungle raj’” to the state. He further said the forces were active to revive ‘mafia raj’ in Bihar but we will nip them in the bud. He also referred to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s announcement that Maoist insurgency will be eliminated from country by March 2026.
